Our Oahu island tour featured Mike as our guide, with Raul as our wonderful driver. Mike kept the tour moving smoothly and made sure we stayed ahead of the large crowds, while still giving us plenty of time at each stop. He shared fun tidbits, historical insights, and personal stories along the way. Mike’s advice regarding hikes helped our family to decide on the sunrise lighthouse hike tomorrow morning, instead of the initially selected vertical staircase in the full sun!☀️ The snorkel experience included a special “lifeguard” Mole who helped out with snorkeling. The most memorable part happened after the tour. When Mike reminds you to double-check for all of your belongings, make sure you really do — I thought I had, but somehow my purse was left behind. Mike personally called me, reassured me it wasn’t a big deal, and arranged for it to be delivered to our hotel in downtown Waikiki — hand-delivered by the owner of the company with my ID, credit cards, and cash safely inside. Our tour guide, Nevin, was AMAZING — truly the highlight of the experience. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made everyone feel comfortable and excited from start to finish. Nevin shared so much interesting information about the turtles and the local marine life, and you could really feel his passion for the ocean. He even talked about his love for surfing, which made the experience feel extra authentic and connected to the local Hawaii lifestyle. We were lucky enough to see turtles up close in their natural habitat, and the whole experience felt respectful, safe, and unforgettable. If you’re thinking about booking a turtle tour in Hawaii, do it — and if you get Nevin as your guide, you’re in for a fantastic time.
